Meierhofer<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Am 23.11.2024 fand der traditionelle Imkeradvent im <a href=\"https:\/\/imkerhof-salzburg.at\/\">Imkerhof Salzburg<\/a> statt, bei dem sich eine kleine Gruppe an Imkerinnen und Imker aus der Region zu einem vorweihnachtlichen Austausch zusammenfanden. Das diesj\u00e4hrige Schwerpunktthema war die Wachsgewinnung und -verarbeitung, ein zentraler Aspekt der Imkerei.<br \/>\nIn praxisnahen Vortr\u00e4gen und Workshops wurde von Thomas Renner gezeigt, wie Wachs schonend gewonnen und f\u00fcr die Herstellung von Mittelw\u00e4nden, Kerzen und anderen Produkten aufbereitet werden kann. Ein besonderes Highlight war die Live-Vorf\u00fchrung einer Wachsschleuder und einer Rahmenwaschanlage im kombinierten Betrieb. Dies stie\u00df auf besonders gro\u00dfes Interesse.<\/p>\n<h3>Vortr\u00e4ge<\/h3>\n<p>Nachfolgend eine stichwortartige Zusammenfassung der Vortr\u00e4ge von Thomas Renner:<\/p>\n<p>Wachs immer im Wasserbad schmelzen. Anderenfalls besteht Brandgefahr. Bienenwachs beginnt bei 62 bis 64 Grad Celsius zu schmelzen. <span class=\"BxUVEf ILfuVd\" lang=\"de\"><span class=\"hgKElc\">Wenn Bienenwachs \u00fcber 85 Grad Celsius erhitzt wird, kommt es zu Verf\u00e4rbungen . Der Flammpunkt von Bienenwachs betr\u00e4gt 204 <\/span><\/span>Grad Celsius. Echtes Bienenwachs oxidiert mit der Zeit und bildet eine wei\u00dfe Oxidationsschicht. Mit einem Haarf\u00f6hn kann das Wachs jedoch schnell wieder aufgefrischt werden.<\/p>\n<p>Wachs reinigen: Langsam abk\u00fchlen lassen, damit sich Schwebstoffe und Verunreinigungen im Wachs am Boden der entstehenden Wachsbl\u00f6cke sammeln k\u00f6nnen.<\/p>\n<p>Beim Dampfwachsschmelzer bzw. der Wachsschleuder das ausflie\u00dfende Wachs in einen Topf mit hei\u00dfem Wasser rinnen lassen (Topf auf eine Heizplatte stellen). Damit bilden sich sch\u00f6ne Wachsbl\u00f6cke ohne Tropfen.<\/p>\n<p>Wachs nie in Plastikk\u00fcbeln lagern oder Plastikk\u00fcbel f\u00fcr die Wachsverarbeitung verwenden. Weichmacher im Plastik gehen sonst in das Wachs \u00fcber und k\u00f6nnen bereits nach k\u00fcrzester Zeit dort nachgewiesen werden. Zum Schmelzen des Wachses und zur Wachsverarbeitung sollte daher, wie auch bei der Honigverarbeitung, nur Edelstahlgeschirr verwendet werden.<br \/>\nDiverse Varroabek\u00e4mpfungsmittel k\u00f6nnen auch im Wachs nachgewiesen werden. Da manche Imker &#8211; meist aus Kostengr\u00fcnden &#8211; technisches Oxals\u00e4uredihydrat zur Varroabek\u00e4mpfung einsetzen, weist Thomas Renner darauf hin, dass zur Varroabek\u00e4mpfung nur zugelassene Tierarzneimittel eingesetzt werden d\u00fcrfen. Untersuchungen haben gezeigt, dass der Einsatz von technischem Oxals\u00e4uredihydrat zu erh\u00f6hten Schwermetallablagerungen im Wachs f\u00fchrt.<\/p>\n<p>Mittew\u00e4nde k\u00f6nnen gepresst oder in Formen gegossen werden. Beim Pressen wird auf einem Strang aus Bienenwachsplatten nachtr\u00e4glich das Wabenmuster hineingepresst. Fr\u00fcher haben die Imker sogar glatte Wachsplatten als Mittelw\u00e4nde verwendet. Die Bienen konnten auch damit gut umgehen. Die heute zum Kauf angebotenen Mittelw\u00e4nde haben eine Zellengr\u00f6\u00dfe von 5,2 oder 5,4 mm. Den Bienen ist dieses vorgegebene Zellenma\u00df aber weitgehend egal. Sie errichten auch auf unterschiedlichem Arbeiterinnen-Zellenma\u00df Drohnenbrut.<\/p>\n<p>Thomas verwendet bei starken V\u00f6lkern nur Wachsanfangsstreifen von 10-15 cm H\u00f6he. Den Rest k\u00f6nnen die Bienen dann als Naturwabenbau ausbauen. Damit k\u00f6nnen auch je nach Volksst\u00e4rke die Bienenv\u00f6lker unterschiedlich stark mit dem Wabenbau besch\u00e4ftigt werden.<\/p>\n<p>Thomas verwendet auch zu Dreiecken zugeschnittene Mittelwand-Anfangsstreifen. Dabei muss aber geachtet werden, dass R\u00e4hmchen mit solchen Anfangsstreifen gegengleich in die St\u00f6cke eingesetzt werden. Anderenfalls besteht die Gefahr, dass die Bienen die R\u00e4hmchen kreuz und quer miteinander verbinden.<\/p>\n<p>Teelichter ben\u00f6tigen die Zugabe von mindestens 5 % Paraffin, damit diese gut abbrennen. Anderenfalls passt das Verh\u00e4ltnis von Docht- zu Kerzengr\u00f6\u00dfe nicht. Bei der Verwendung der Dochte wird oft darauf hingewiesen, dass die Webrichtung des Dochtes beachtet werden muss. Die V-Spitze der Dochte sollte zur Kerzenunterseite zeige. Thomas hat aber die Erfahrung gemacht, dass es vielmehr auf die richtige Dochtgr\u00f6\u00dfe ankommt. Die Gr\u00f6\u00dfe des Dochtes muss zum Kerzendurchmesser passen. . Zum Kerzengie\u00dfen gibt es im <a href=\"https:\/\/imkerhof-salzburg.at\/\">Imkerhof Salzburg<\/a> sowohl passende Formen als auch dazu passende Dochte.\u00a0 Je nach Art der Kerze, insbesondere bei gerollten Kerzen aus Wachsplatten, kann es hilfreich sein, dass der Kerzendocht zuvor noch in Wachs oder Paraffin getaucht wird. Die gegossenen Kerzen in der Form langsam bei Zimmertemperatur abk\u00fchlen lassen, dann erh\u00e4lt man sch\u00f6ne glatte Kerzen ohne Lufteinschl\u00fcsse oder sonstige Fehler. Nachdem Thomas das Kerzengie\u00dfen theoretisch besprochen und das Mittelwandgie\u00dfen gezeigt hatte, konnten die TeilnehmerInnen selber Kerzen gie\u00dfen. Die ersten Ergebnisse der Tischkerzen konnten sich sehen lassen. Das Mittelwandgie\u00dfen weckte bei so manchem Teilnehmer den Ehrgeiz.<\/p>\n<p>Mittelw\u00e4nde selber gie\u00dfen: Von den anwesenden Imkern war niemand dabei, der selbst noch Mittelw\u00e4nde herstellt. Aus Zeitgr\u00fcnden werden diese heute meist gekauft oder mit dem Eigenwachs bei einem Wachsverarbeitungsbetrieb des Vertrauens zu Mittelw\u00e4nden umgearbeitet.<br \/>\nZum Gie\u00dfen von Mittelw\u00e4nden gibt es unterschiedliche Ger\u00e4te mit Wasser- und Luftk\u00fchlung. Thomas bestreicht die Form vor dem Eingie\u00dfen des Wachses mit Zuckerwasser. Damit lassen sich die entstehenden Platten nach dem Gie\u00dfen auch wieder gut von der Form l\u00f6sen.<\/p>\n<p>Von Kerzenlack und der Beimengung von \u00e4therischen \u00d6len bzw. Lebensmittelfarbe zum Kerzenwachs h\u00e4lt Thomas nicht viel. Paraffin f\u00fcr die Kerzenstellung in Reinstqualit\u00e4t und Bienenwachspastillen f\u00fcr die Erstellung diverser Kosmetikprodukte (= Cera alba f\u00fcr Salben, Lippenbalsam etc.). Bienenwachs ist gelb, sofern sich darin noch Propolis und Pollen befindet. Wei\u00dfes Bienenwachs ist gebleichtes Wachs.<br \/>\nThomas zeigte auch einen br\u00e4unlichen Wachsblock. Diese Verf\u00e4rbungen entstehen, falls Wachs in rostigen Beh\u00e4ltern oder auch Aluminiumbeh\u00e4ltern verarbeitet wurde. Mittels Zitronen- und\/oder Oxals\u00e4urepulver k\u00f6nnen diese Verf\u00e4rbungen aber wieder bereinigt werden. Weitere Details dazu k\u00f6nnen in den Buchempfehlungen von Thomas nachgelesen werden.<\/p>\n<p>Zum Kl\u00e4ren des Wachses verwendet Thomas einen gro\u00dfen, mehrwandigen Wachskl\u00e4rbeh\u00e4lter. Dieser wird mit Thermo\u00f6l gef\u00fcllt und ist gut isoliert. Somit kann das Wachs auch auf eine Temperatur erh\u00f6ht werden, welche diverse Sporen (Nosema) und Krankheitserreger (Faulbrut) abt\u00f6tet.<br \/>\nF\u00fcr die R\u00e4hmchen aus gesunden Bienenv\u00f6lker reicht es aber, das Wachs einfach \u00fcber einen Wachsschmelzer (Sonnen- oder Dampfwachsschmelzer) oder eine Wachsschleuder auszuschmelzen. Zum Waschen der R\u00e4hmchen kann die R\u00e4hmchenwaschanlage der <a href=\"http:\/\/www.imkereikolbe.de\/\">Imkerei Kolbe<\/a> eingesetzt werden. Diese erm\u00f6glicht das Waschen der R\u00e4hmchen, ohne \u00c4tznatron einsetzen zu m\u00fcssen. Die R\u00e4hmchen werden mit dieser Waschanlage ganz sauber. Zum eigenst\u00e4ndigen Reinigen der R\u00e4hmchen gen\u00fcgt es, eine Sodal\u00f6sung (Waschsoda) zu verwenden. Sollten Krankheitserreger im Stock sein, sollte alles in einem Desinfektionsbad gereinigt werden. Erst bei Faulbrut braucht es \u00c4tznatron. Dazu dann aber Infos vom <a href=\"https:\/\/imkerhof-salzburg.at\/\">Imkerhof Salzburg<\/a> einholen.<\/p>\n<p>Das Equipment des Imkerhofes kann von Ortsgruppen und Ortsvereinen auch ausgeliehen werden. Auch Termine zum Ausschmelzen und Waschen der R\u00e4hmchen am <a href=\"https:\/\/imkerhof-salzburg.at\/\">Imkerhof Salzburg<\/a> k\u00f6nnten f\u00fcr Ortsgruppen und Ortsvereine organisiert werden.<\/p>\n<h3>Fazit<\/h3>\n<p>Neben den fachlichen Inhalten sorgten eine Tombola, ein Kuchenbuffet und diverse Getr\u00e4nke f\u00fcr eine gem\u00fctliche und ausgelassene Atmosph\u00e4re. So bot die Veranstaltung nicht nur einen lehrreichen Einblick in die Imkereipraxis, sondern auch die Gelegenheit, sich mit Gleichgesinnten auszutauschen und gemeinsam die Adventszeit zu genie\u00dfen.<\/p>\n<p>Der Imkeradvent war jedenfalls wieder ein voller Erfolg und ein Beweis f\u00fcr die lebendige Imkerkultur in Salzburg.
